Winter Fessenden, in Mrs. Bennett's fourth grade class, created this artwork which is now displayed at the Vogue Theatre in Manistee.

Onekama elementary students Cullen McNabb (5th), Winter Fessenden (4th), Addison Suida (5th), and Willow Gilmore (4th) were recognized in an article today from the Manistee News Advocate for their submitted work honoring Martin Luther King Jr. Students were invited by the Manistee Area Racial Justice & Diversity Initiative to submit poetry and artwork ahead of MLK Day.

Cullen, Addison, and Willow's essays are available to read in the MNA article linked above; Winter's artwork was also featured in the article, and is currently on display in the Vogue Theatre in Manistee.

Congratulations to everybody for having their fantastic work recognized, and shoutout to Mr. Nick Bradford and Mrs. Tracy Bennett for bringing this opportunity into their classrooms!
